Pro Motion Clinic is excited to announce our newest team member, Adrienne Coombs R.Ac.
Growing up surrounded by wilderness Adrienne took full advantage of her surroundings, spending all her free time mountain biking, hiking, and snowboarding, just to name a few. Being active her whole life she felt the need to focus her studies on treating those with activity-related injuries. Her education started following her passion for exercise studying kinesiology at Langara College in Vancouver, BC. She then switched her western focus to a more holistic approach and began to study Traditional Chinese Medicine at the Academy of Classical Oriental Sciences in her hometown of Nelson. There, she finished the 5 year Doctorate of TCM.
Since graduation, Adrienne has continued to further her education and has taken several sports medicine acupuncture courses under names such as Whitfied Reeves and Matt Callison. She graduated from Matt Callison’s prestigious Sports Medicine Apprentership Program in San Diego, CA in the fall of 2015 making her one of the only certified sports medicine acupuncturists in Canada. Through this program she learned advanced diagnostics, postural assessment, corrective exercises and acupuncture and herbal treatment strategies.
Adrienne has completed several other advanced courses in moxabustion, cupping therapy, guasha, fertility, peadiatrics, neurokinetic therapy, clinical neurodynamics, myfascial release, several courses through the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition and is currently working on an osteopath diploma through online studies. Today, she treats all injuries and illnesses through acupuncture, cupping, guasha and myofascial release, moxabustion, herbology, lifestyle and dietary therapy.
Adrienne’s mission is to provide a holistic, therapeutic approach to bettering one’s health. She focuses on nurturing and balancing the mind, body, and soul so that disease can be prevented and cured while wellness is achieved. As her patient, your experience is designed to help create a deeper sense of self and well being, healing what needs to heal, and more importantly, taking the time to have complete focus on you, your spirit, and your health.
